I'd like to hear more about the Nyala Mark took with a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 mag. The photo was posted on this forum, but if there was a writeup, I missed it.

There wasn't really a lot to say about the nyala taken with the .44 SRH. We hunted for several days before locating this bull. They prefer thick bush so we were fortunate to get close -- probably 40 yards or so. The first shot was in the boiler room but I put a couple of more rounds in him before he went down. I was shooting factory Hornady 240 gr. XTP ammo. The nyala is a beautiful spiral-horned antelope and I wouldn't mind looking for another one -- only next time I'll hold out for a monster of 30 inches.

Mark, what a beautiful animal & great write up! I remember you telling me a couple of years ago that the Mountain Nyala was on your short list & that it was only found in Ethiopia. Looks like you made your dream come true. And Karen is amazing as well to tag along at 9,000 ft elevation in a tent camp with all that great cooking, etc. What an experience to share with your wife, really a great hunt & story! Dick
