Hello, New here and new to single action , Well sort of lol I snagged a Birds head Heritage Mfg. .22 w/mag cylinder and .22lr in S/S w/2" barrel a few month ago and it been sitting in the safe never shot it ! Last week purchased a Heritage Rough Rider with 4" barrel , Could not pass up the price .Thinking of getting the 6" and looking at the rifle SO being new and having a small range in the back yard had to burn so .22. Took me a minute to get used to a SA but love it lol. Also had to take out the Birds head Heritage . Like that one to ,It was from the Fla. Factory not the new Taurus factory ! Minor issue is the extractor being off set and drags a little on shell casing. I tried to been it but man that rod is strong ..
So will call on Monday to see if I can get a replacement for it ,their web site only shoe 3 /4 and 6" rods so will see . IMO for a budget SA it is pretty well made and shoots straight, finish is so so ,but it is a fun gun not a show piece ! Anyone use Heritage Mfg. guns ? Also now stuck on getting a Big Bore SA soon lol.. Should be a .357 to go with my Security Six
Thanks for any input
Rich
