In my earlier thread I said I had purchased a 45 Ruger 4 5/8s Blued from a shop in ND. No 45 Colt cylinder only the ACP cylinder. It arrived right on time and here is a pic. ----ezekiel38 ***** An understatement of elegance, cryptic as an undertaker. David Bradshaw

My 4-5/8" Blackhawk (45 Colt) with Fermin's touch on the cylinder is the most accurate open sighted revolver I own.

Nice 45! My 45 convertible with the acp cylinder is very accurate.

You know, this might seem like a stupid detail but - piggybacking off of what Mr. Bradshaw said - that thing would benefit from a blued grip screw.
Nice revolver, sir.

I am anxiously awaiting the cylinder to return from Fermin's. I appreciate the comment about the grip screw but I will let it turn color with age and handling. Thank you Mr. Bradshaw for the compliment on the gun and or photo.

USPS Tracker advised me yesterday that my cylinder had reached Fermin's house. I imagine he is busy right now with that tropical storm that is harassing the Gulf. The anticipation builds.

Ezekial, i have the N.O.E. version of the Lyman 452423 and its a gem. Mine has the replaceable pins that make it a flat point, cup point, or a big, honkin, hollow point. they shoot better than me in everything ive tried them in, so far. It has the biggest meplat you will find on a 45 swc. great bullet, i hope to put it to work on a deer out of my Uberti this year.

Fermin and I talked today, and he advised it, the cylinder, "was one of the worst he had ever seen come from Ruger". Spent extra time cleaning and straightening the chambers up and the cylinder went out in the mail today. I reciprocated by sending "the smith" a USPS MO, and a hearty thank you!
Soon and very soon, my Ruger frame will not look so funny or feel so alone.
