IT IS AN EASY FORMULA TO GOOGLE AND TO USE. SAY YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW SHORTER A FS YOU NEED TO BE DEAD ON AT 25 YARDS, AND YOU ARE SHOOTING 6" LOW AT 25 YARDS, YOU MEASURE DISTANCE OF FS TO RS (ON THE PROFESSIONAL PROBABLY AROUND 4.5") SO 4.5 x 6 = 27 INCHES DIVIDED BY 900" (THE # OF INCHES IN 25 YARDS) = 0.03, i.e. 3 hundreths OF AN INCH, NOT MUCH. CALCULATE BEFORE YOU START CUTTING.
LOOKING AT PICTURES OF THE FS ON GUN BROKER. MAYBE, DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF FS ADJUSTMENT NEEDED, YOU COULD FLATTEN/WORK WITH THE FO SIGHT TO LOWER IT ENUFF?

Well, I've made a little headway with my battle with the "Professional ". Not one for sight height formulas I went the mechanical route. After removing the hokey front sight I fished around and found a small socket headed cap screw with a a larger head than the factory screw . When shortened a little the cap head can sit flush on the barrel rib. I then headed to the range with the intent of raising it to adjust POI. BANG,,,,,, no adjustment needed. DeadNutz as is. Shooting at 10 yards with a utility load of upper-midrange Unique and off the shelf Bear Creek 100 gr. moly coated cast bullets I got X ring elevation a touch to the left . Maybe me maybe not. Ended up with a dandy aprox.3 1/2" 21 shot ( three cylinder fulls )hand held group. With minor Kentucky windage I could make a dirt clod nervous at 100 yards. That there is now a decent pocket packin plinker pistol. No rush now to change it other than it looks like a weird bead sight thingie . I'll get around to shooting other loads and see if things change or require changing .Happy enough with it I may just leave it as is, Bubba or not .
O Yeah , If anyone is playing with the same issue and needs a screw to test it out let me know , I got a few.

That's great to hear! Sounds like a neat little field/woods/trail gun to me. Little Loctite on that screw and you'll be set for life!
