That is a cast frame Hi Power and the lines are left over from the manufacturing process. I don't know why they leave them there, but that is pretty typical of the cast frames. |

 Casting marks? I find that…difficult to believe. My best guess is that it’s the vertical lines of the checkering from the front and back strap that wraps around the bottom of the pistol, but I can’t figure out why. |
