I own quite a few Ubertis, Piettas, Cimarrons, and Taylor's. I never found the need to spend three times as much for a Colt or USFA. Here are the last two I've purchased. Been very pleased with both: Cimarron .41 Colt Taylor's .38-40 -Lee www.singleactions.com "Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

I've got a few Colts too. But, when I compare quality and tolerances, the Uberti Revolvers win every time.
The guns that always bring a smile to my face are my Uberti Flattop Target Revolvers.

Well, several. A mid-/late-Nineties US Patent Firearms, 4-3/4”, with some obviously Uberti parts, was where I started. I bought this one new. All of my 1873-pattern replicas, since then, have been pre-owned. A somewhat shorter-barreled, Sheriff-like model, with no ejector assembly, is my other USPFA, acquired somewhat recently.
I have accumulated three USFA China Camp Single Actions. These are bare steel, and seem to have lower asking prices, when found available. “China Camp” was a well-known Cowboy Action Shooting competitor, and this model was some kind of collaboration. The previous owner, of my first China Camp, had a ‘smith bead-blast the finish. This one, with a 4-3/4” barrel, is my main shooter, among my single action sixguns.
I have USFA Single Actions, with nice color-cased frames, with 3”, 5.5” and 7.5” barrels.
Notably, the Colt Third-Generation SAA, that I bought new, had a horrendous action, and even though coated in the from-the-factory oil, had rust spots starting to develop. This was over a decade ago, maybe almost 20 years ago, but I do remember it was a time when plenty of folks were complaining about Colt’s QC. With my USPFA and USFA sixguns being so very good, that Third-Generation SAA soon became trading fodder, at a gun show. My only other Colt SAA, thus far, has been an NRA 150th-year commemorative. I liked shooting it. (It was not in perfect condition, and this commemorative run had no “collector value,” actually being valued at considerably less than a normal-production SAA. ) Sadly, a weather event soaked this one, which I did not discover immediately, so this one, if not ruined, will require restoration.
I live within easy driving distance of a large gun store, that specializes in collectable firearms. Now than then, I see “real” Colts, especially some slightly imperfect but well-cared-for Second Generations, that seriously tempt me to go into some credit card debt, but thus far, I have resisted. I am not such a Colt purist, that I feel deprived, not having a presentable Colt SAA.

Speaking of grips, I just bought a set of fake black bison horn from Uberti (one-piece). They'll be going on a 4 3/4" Taylor's .45 Colt soon (blued / case hardened finish). Should look pretty slick. -Lee www.singleactions.com "Chasing perfection five shots at a time"

A 3 1/2" barrel El Patron CMS ? They must have changed it to CMS Pro. I have a short stroke CMS Pro, looks just like your patron, 'cept I have the Big Grove Low hammer. Mine says "Model 1873 .45 colt" instead of El Patron on the barrel Uberti CMS Pro and AWA below, both .45s Taylor Uberti 44 spl.

LEE: CURIOUS AS TO WHY YOU SAY UBERTI, PIETTA,CIMARRON AND TAYLOR'S WHEN THE FIRST TWO ARE MANUFACTURERS WHILE THE LAST TWO ARE IMPORTERS. THE CIMARRONS AND TAYLORS,UNLESS THEY ARE VERY EARY ONES HAVE TO BE UBERTI OR PIETTA ALSO. CIMARRON MARKS SOME OF THEIR GUNS WITH THEIR NAMES ALSO BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN A TAYLOR'S IMPORT MARKED.

John - I know they all come from Pietta or Uberti. I just referenced Cimarron and Taylor's because they're well known importers. Many times you'll see their guns listed with no reference to Pietta or Uberti. But yes, they aren't manufacturers. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
