This was my first venture into Uberti made Single Actions. It is the Cattleman and was imported by Iver Johnson. This is a .44 Magnum of 1975 vintage. Beautiful gun, and well made and fitted, but had some issues. I traded it off and the buyer used it as a .44 Special was was completely happy with it.
The issues I had were that it was poorly sighted, and the frame puckered up from passage of the firing pin.
I favor late production USFA single actions. I actually have a number of them and all but one are chambered for the 45 Colt cartridge. Also, all but two of them are the rarer black powder frame models. The outlier is marked "38 Colt & S&W Special".
