Beautiful revolver! One question, why is the front sight not flush with the sides of the base that holds it?

Beautiful revolver! One question, why is the front sight not flush with the sides of the base that holds it? For me it would be so that it didnt look odd if I had to drift the sight any.

It looks great the way it is but if it were mine I might send it back to Bowen to have it blued and case hardened.

It's hard to argue with Mr. Bowen about the M&P top strap recontouring. I find it about the most elegant of all top strap reconfiguring. Something about way the front of the frame and that radiused downward swoop to meet the barrel is just flat out beautiful!

In my house "in the white" means "in the rust" Some years ago I almost took a job in OK but decided to turn it down because I didn't want my guns to rust! Honestly it does make me a little nervous but it's been in Oregon since it was new and so far so good. That's the biggest reason I'd get it blued...but...big but....

Beautifully done. If you keep it in the white, oil it with Rustlick 631: www.itwprobrands.com/product/rustlick-631My dad has a couple of chrome moly barrels on custom rifles he built in the 80's. Just never got around to bluing them. They're treated with 631 and there has never been a hint of rust. We also use in on shop equipment. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Chasing perfection five shots at a time"
