Mr Wright, MagnumWheelMan and sometimes me, just off top of head.. I've a NM Vaq Sheriff 44spec with a 3.75" barrel. I live in the middle of a rural county and work 2nd shift and little contact with the usual urban threats. Truly, most days the Charter Arms lil Bulldog is in board, but I do have a nice holster, and speed strip set up for the SA option and do pack it in cooler weather. In the hills, things tilt further in favor of the SA's..

This is still my everyday carry... made shots at running possums in the dark with a flashlight, hit a large raccoon, looked like I hit it with a sledge hammer... just renewed my carry permit for the 3rd time, & used this gun... easily outshot all the compact 9 shooters in class these are my "Hollywood" cartridges... thinking if I shoot someone, they'd probably get knocked back 20ft, & fly out the window mid level load with Matt's 250 grain wadcutters

I carry a NAA Black Widow almost every time I have a pocket. I usually have 1 or 2 a double action 38s as well. There are times that just carry that little NAA. It hides well in places that make it easy to get to.

I am range manager for an indoor shooting range for almost 9 years now. As a 69 year old that always said you could carry an all steel full size handgun all day every day given a proper holster and belt I can now say I was very wrong. Standing on a concrete slab for 8-9 hour days tells the tale. These days my full size carry gun goes in a Simply Rugged chest holster or a Gunfighters Inc chest holsters. Been known to carry a 5.5 FT 44 Special and a Birdshead 327 Single Seven in these things. I can still carry on the hip, with a Simply Rugged pancake, so long as I am sitting as much as I stand.

Sometimes I do, like others have stated. I've carried the Harton customized 45 Colt Montado in my avatar pic.

I've always believed a man should carry what he's best and most-comfortable with. In my case, after some 65 years experience with one, I still pack a single-action, every day. You can argue all you want, but to no avail.. The SA has its practical limitations, but power and accuracy ain't among 'em... I tried the 1911, and even toted a little Browning mini-1911 .380 as a back-up, for a time. Nobody lives forever, and for me, "forever" isn't that much farther down the road. I can run a Model P in my sleep, with either hand or both, and have never considered myself under-gunned, in any situation or circumstance.

This has been my daily carry rig for the past couple of years. It's a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. The holster is the No. 1 Shuck from Doc Barranti: This is a more recent acquisition from Doc Barranti, its the Ranger Model which is a copy of a Brill design. Its my Sunday-go-to-meeting holster: While Tennessee does not require concealment, I do cover with either a vest or on Sundays a sport coat or sjit coat. Bob Wright

I have carried my 45 acp New Vaquero Birdshead from time to time (The first revolver I ever bought). I mostly carry it when I am at the cottage in Northern Wi. It has been largely upstaged by my Redhawk Kodiak Backpacker for that use though. In a DeSantis Doc Holliday holster

I, like others,, occasionally do carry a SA for SD. A lot depends upon where I'm going, & what I'm doing. But I NEVER feel like I have any limiting factors with one in my hands. I got a few odd looks doing open carry in a wally world one day a few years back. But I also got a few compliments too.

Minnesota doesn't require concealed carry, but I'm not giving up my tactical advantage for no good reason... & while lots of people do need education, I hate being confronted by opinionated "anti's" as there is nothing to gain there, because they already have their opinions cemented
