That’s the tilt barrel rotating bolt locking action, it flips the rounds before insertion into the barrel.

I watched a guy shoot two boxes of 30-30 that way. He wasn't hitting anything, often not even the berm. It was only when we stopped him from shooting more that we noticed the problem. The following week he showed up with a new .22 rifle. Rear ring clamped onto the receiver, the front ring clamped onto the rear sight. Kind felt bad for him, didn't know what he was doing, clearly had no mentor to set him straight. My G36. Because I don't like white outline sights and, lets face it, it's a Glock.
