Congratulations on the find. Hopefully, it is a good sign. I stumbled across 3 bags of new 30-30 brass the other day. I actually see some powder hanging around at the local gun store for 3 days.

I'm seeing lots of powder lately (at $50/lb!). Still no primers and very little factory ammo to be had.

Primers are the worry for me, I still have quite a bunch, but i am not buying any more brass or powder, till I can get primers, I even let my load data subscription lapse. ...tj

No matter how long I make my powder last with moderate to light loads, or how long my brass holds up in doing so and how little actual cash I put into (cast) bullets, it still requires the fixed cost of ONE PRIMER PER "PFFFT," "POP" or "BANG." I limit the "BOOM" loads, especially right now.

Yup I just got 2000lb of 2/6 alloyed lead in a few months ago, enough brass and powder to keep me going bang for a long time. But primers are the weak link, I over paid for 2k CCI std sm pistol primers the other day but without them my 9mms, 32, 327, 38sp, and 357s are dead in the water. I have between mag and std primers perhaps 5k small pistol and 7-8k in large pistols so I am not too hard up but thats just a fun summer of shooting from being out.
It wont happen again is all I am saying...

That's a good buy on .30-30 ammo. Everything reloading is still pretty much cleaned out in north central Idaho. I did score Reloder 23 & 26 from Powder Valley last week. Found my 6mm 70 gr. BlitzKings (x1000) the other day from another forum member. Let's hope supplies are coming back.

Things are starting to level out some. Our local academy had lots of 9mm and some of the magnum rifle loads available. 12 gauge buckshot was in stock, even had a few match 22lr offerings. Price of lumber is coming down as well.
