Did the trigger suck ? I have two of them and both are stiff ,gritty and creepy. Henry says they will wear in , has not happened yet. Noticeably different than other Henry 357 and 44 I have had. How can they screw up a lever action trigger any way ?

I have the 16" carbine in 327. Really nice wood on mine. Trigger doesn't seem bad to me; certainly not target grade but this isn't a target grade rifle.
Wish I would have snagged one in 41 mag before the madness set in.

Years ago I got a Marlin 32 octagon from a curmudgeon with a posting problem. Swindled it from him I did. It went to JRH and now it's a suh-weet 327.

I have the carbine version as well, zero trigger issues with mine, shoots fantastically...As with all things 327, I love it!

I also bought the 20" Henry Steel in 327 Federal and love it. Very accurate and the trigger is just fine. So much like it must have been a century ago hunting with the lever action 32s. I bet they put more meat on the table than the big bores.

My maternal grandfather's deer rifle was a Winchester lever gun in 25-20. He said neck shots put them down just fine.

I've got the .41 Mag steel carbine. Absolutely love it. Feeds/runs my cylinder filling 240gr loads as well as any of the more normal length cartridges. Smooth action & better than decent trigger.
