It does seem weird that season starts this early. Squirrels must be plentiful there and you must be a heck of a squirrel hunter.

It does seem weird that season starts this early. Squirrels must be plentiful there and you must be a heck of a squirrel hunter. Our season usually opens on memorial day week end but this year it opened a week earlier on the 22nd, and will close February 15 of 2022. Just closed long enough for them to breed. Any dummy can hunt a squirrel, and I been at it a while.

Ditto on the shooting. I also think it is safe to say almost anyone could get a couple squirrels occasionally; but it takes someone that knows how to hunt them to get the numbers you get.

I think squirrels are the place to learn stealth in the woods. Pays off when you move on to deer and such.
