Nice! I killed a flying Bumblebee with a slingshot once... Quite possibly the greatest shot I've ever made in my life?

Any witnesses to verify? That pistol looks familiar. Chinese made?

As kids we used to shoot cicadas with our BB guns, hunting them down through sound, them spot and stalk, 10 to 15 feet was the normal distance. Lots of fun for kids on hot summer afternoons.

We use to freeze them, than super glue a string on them. Tied, to a stick, and walk around for drunken entertainment.😂

I had to come back to this thread. MANY, MANY years ago, my brother brought his step-daughter over to teach her to shoot. Miss Penny & I were there,, as I was providing several handguns for the girl to try. Well, we had plenty of carpenter bees buzzing around, and I was grousing about them. I made a few off-hand comments about shooting them. After my brother & the girl left,, Miss Penny & I were plinking some,,, and a bee hovered about 10-12 ft away. I had a 3-screw FT .357 with target loads, and snapped off a hip shot at it. It vaporized. Miss Penny was a witness. I busted a gut laughing. Couldn't hit a bull in the butt after that. Just too funny.
Well, this past Saturday, I was teaching a shooting clinic. We had a few carpenter bees, around. I had a few Ruger MK semi's out on the table. My MKII Comp Target model is a daily companion in my truck & has seen 10's of thousands of rounds through it. A favorite for sure. Well, this one carpenter bee was hovering out in front of the target, about 15 ft away. I grabbed my MKII loaded it, & popped a round, missing the bee. Then, round (2) clipped it to where it fell to the ground & I went out & stomped it. To say my students were "impressed" is an understatement. When Penny came over,, they told her about it, and she said; "What,, AGAIN?" At least this time I was aiming,,,!
A second bee came around later & I missed it 3 times before it decided to leave.
I enjoy killing those pesky bees!
