A forum member named Professor mentioned having John build a Croft inspired #2 on a New Vaquero.

A forum member named Professor mentioned having John build a Croft inspired #2 on a New Vaquero. I wanna’ see some good photos of the Clements sight installation on it...

Thats a DEEP scallop on the recoil shield!
I do like the fact he can narrow the rails and remark the serial number. I would have asked for it on the bottom of the frame though.

John did what I asked plus some. It's my gun, my money, my time. If you don't like it, sit back and just enjoy your own stuff. Its shipping out in the next few days, so hopefully in hand it's even cooler. Besides what does it matter who commissioned it. The point is we should be supporting and encouraging all the sixgun builders. Only through good education, practice and support can they rise. I've recently worked with Ryan Ross, Bobby Tyler and John Powers. All great guys to talk guns with and each knows the other and works hard to be better with each build.

No offense intended. I just paid for it, so guess I'm a bit sensitive about it. It was an idea I had after seeing the M2 in Taffins Book of the 45. I saw John Powers no5s and thought he was a guy who could do something similar for me. I bought the Clements sight off this board last summer. Those original grips will be thrown in a drawer and either stag or Scott Kolar french walnut blanks I have will be fit. You cannot see that John removed some material from the grip frame front to make it a bit straighter. It has old Colt style base pin screw, that was John's idea. I wanted something that looks cool and that not too many of the same looking gun are out there. I support the idea of encouraging anybody that likes revolvers of any kind.
