That's a pretty one! Been looking hard at the flat top ovate barrel 22 RF he's done but i'm guessing the price of frame work on top of a linebored cylinder and ovate barrel would quickly exceed my comfort level Yep! He did an ovate barrelled Single Six .22 with an ovate barrel that's not linebored and unmolested topstrap for Rob Rowan that came out nicely and apparently it shoots! Honestly, I'm not sure the line bored guns shoot any better than not. The $$ is more palatable too. Don't get me wrong the line bored and blocked guns are super sweet but like you said... The deluxe trigger job is the secret IMO. AND you have to request it on top of the Longhunter or Nimrod package. I learned that late in this game....

Holy smokes! If you slap a set of Birdseye maple on that and it would be be the perfect companion to my 45 colt Nimrod.
The deluxe trigger job is well worth the extra coin. The over travel stop he adds just makes for the perfect trigger. Only down side is it can get debris down in between the trigger and the stop and hang the gun up. Best to not adjust it to zero overtravel but dial in just a little to make sure it has a little tolerance for that situation.

Here is a pic of the "ito" next to a full size Nimrod. Guess which one is a Best Quality gun?(hint: the one that has the mirror finish)

I only experienced the hang up once. The main culprit was the 4227 powder I was using. It leaves behind those big unburned kernels of powder and a piece found its way between the stop and trigger. Thumbed the hammer back and squeezed the trigger and the trigger wouldn't budge. I realized what was going on so I just squeezed a little harder and the kernel crunched up and the hammer fell. After that I backed the stop out a little more so it had some tolerance for that situation.

It took me 10 minutes to find the beard hair. Then oh yeah, nice gun ! Putting the rather big Bisley on the small frame, makes me think aluminum might be nice. Those Nimrod revolvers sure look like ALL business.
