897142580 897162662 I don't think I put the links up correct. I am a dinosaur with technology. I put 2 Cobray Mac 11's on consignment. The gun store put them on gun broker along with another. I have been watching the bids. Now there is a bidder with no rating bidding on all 3!! My gut tells me none will sell. What happened to this site with all the scammers? I've put them on consignment because the gun shop takes plastic. More ways to pay equals more potential buyers. Unless somebody sabotages the auction. The fraudsters aren't helping either. Very frustrated.

Your numbers are cut and paste, not links. But I looked at one and yeah, lots of noob bidders. Thing is it may be a sign of the times more than anything else. There are a lot more people looking for guns right now than usual, and guns like that attract noobs, sexy you see, the video game crowd. I put a thing on my listings about no one with less than A+ feedback is allowed to bid until they ask. Had to file a non paying bidder report with GB yesterday on a rifle the bidder won but hasnt paid for. He now has 4 F's for non payment in 19 feedback! He had an A but not an A+ and didnt email first, all I could do was take a chance, he failed. My F dropped him to a B rating. GB is way too lenient on these clowns.

When I sold off a bunch thru a seller on Gun Broker, I was concerned about a bidder with no history kept bidding up one of my Automags... talked to the seller about it, he said no big deal, if he defaults, he would just relist it... it sold for more than twice the price I paid for it new, as a used gun, bidder paid the price, & everything was good...
as long as your seller will relist it, if the buyer defaults... let it go... probably just a sign of the times, & the type of gun...

Thanks. I didn't contact my seller. I don't want to be "that guy". I'm certain they will relist. Mac 11 was my guilty pleasure type gun. I never shot them much. Sat in my safe for the last 15 years. They are just bringing good money now.

I've never had a NR buyer not pay. Sometimes the transaction was a little painful but...

Usually winning bidders don't bid until the final hours. All those lowballers just kicking tires.

I have decided to stay away from GB checking. Just gonna let it go. Worse case they have to relist.

When I broke out on Gunbroker I had more an issue of getting the seller to respond to my information than I ever did with anything else. Some of the sellers have a "get to you when I get to you attitude".
Those Cobray weapons are kinda cool. I dont have a use for one (especially without the giggle parts), but they are still cool.

Cobrays are my guilty pleasure gun. Made cheap out of stamped steel. Vert basic design. Easy to strip. Mine worked great. You need the fake silencer to hold when shooting as they have poor balance to say the least. Fun guns but at the cost of ammo today it's unlikely to take a bunch of 9mm out to have fun.

Shortly before the Clinton gun ban,a friend offered to sell to me his micro Uzi pistol and H&K 91 rifle - each with bunch of magazines - cheap. I had shot them both. Both fun guns for which i had no real use. I declined. Clinton gun ban happened. Prices soared. He sold them for far more than he paid. Now is a good opportunity wto sell some you don't use.

Well both Cobrays were sold. One did 1050 to a NR buyer. I'm cautiously optimistic. The second one went for an unbelievable and improbable 2050!!. The latter is bidding on yet another. I am practicing restraint of tongue and pen in contacting my LGS to see about that crazy bid.

Good to see them bringing that. I have a m10 class III and a few other toys that I keep kicking around selling. It’s crazy out there. Crazy.

The internet allows a certain autonomy for people w/o LEO connections & such. Due to that,, we take chances when we deal on the web. In general, most things are legit, & all goes well. But sadly, there are scammers, hackers, thieves etc also,, so we have to TRY & prevent such headaches.
Cobrays huh?
Back in the 80's, you could buy them "cheaply". I decided to get a M-11 in .380 because I already owned an Uzi in 9mm. (Both semi, not class III) I got my M-11 in Feb, and that July was when the ATF shut down Cobray. Well, all that did was drive the prices UP! The following Jan, I was wandering a gun show,, and a guy had a table with 1/2 dozen Cobray's in 9mm & .45. I asked about the .380's as to current values,, and he replied they were similar, but a little more due to scarcity. Another guy, standing nearby, overhearing us talk, waited until I was done, then politely asked me if I was wanting to sell my Cobray. I did sell it to him, for a lot more than what I had invested. And later on, I did the same with the Uzi. Both brought much, much more than my initial investment. Didn't have a real need, and feeding them was expensive! (Especially back then, for a poor boy!)

Well my LGS contacted me about my Cobrays on GB. The one that went for $1050 was legit. I still can't believe it went that high. However the other that went for $2050 turns out to be a non paying bidder. I'm not surprised but ticked off. So it goes back up again on Thursday. I don't understand these people who run up the bids just to ignore after they win with zero intentions of buying. OK rant over...
