Dang. I always assumed they were about 20 times more expensive than that. That's very affordable.

Me & a buddy bought a used one about 25 years ago & it has been amazing. We don't have that many molds for it but looking at Stan's list I think we might add a couple more, I didn't realize they had so many different flat base styles available.

IT IS MY BELIEF THAT MANY OF THE COMMERCIAL CASTERS USE MAGMA's AND FOR MY MOST USED 45 COLT BULLETS (250gr RNFP & 255gr SWC) THEY ALL HAVE BEVELD BASES - I DID NOT KNOW THAT MAGMA HAD FLAT BASED MOULDS.
WHY ARE BB MOULDS SO POPULAR WITH THE COMMERCIAL CASTERS? MY PRINCIPAL CAST BULLET ADVISOR (SIXSHOT) TELLS ME THE FLAT BASE BULLETS ARE BETTER.

I think they're afraid of damage to the base during shipping, I agree with sixshot on the flat base.

I think commercial loaders like the bevel base bullet better because they feed into the case in commercial loaders better. At one time Magma DID NOT have flat base bullet molds. My local casting buddy has a wall full of Magma Mark 8 Bullet Masters with bevel base Magma molds in them. He has a single Master Caster for the very low volume stuff. www.magmaengineering.com/magma-mark-8-bullet-master/
