VERY NICE REVOLVER BUT THE PRICE.
I HAVE 2 SPARE 6 INCH MODEL 53 BARRELS AND AN EXTRA 22lr MODEL 53 AUXILLARY CYLINDER WITH A SLOPPY RECHAMBER TO 22 K-HORNET, WITH ONE OF THE BARRELS, THE CYLINDER AND A DONOR GUN ONE COULD MAKE A VERY NICE S&W 327.

That gun as been for sale on Guns International for about a month. $275 for that barrel before the rebore is a bit steep too. Glad I sent mine with the donor gun.. This one had a .32-20 cylinder done while he was at it...

If the Seller put that gun out for a penny...my guess it would bring $2000-2500...no more...

Well, I'm in love.
My hand absolutely loves the Model 19 and that K frame. That weight and balance just seems to fit me like a glove. I just have to pick it up on the line and my confidence goes skyward. I have several.
I'm also been smitten with the 32 bug again. My first shooter was a 32-20 first gen Colt SAA. I left the caliber for decades, but got back in a big way with the 32 H&Rmag and the 327fed mag. Rugers Single7, the Blackhawk 8, and the Buckeye are outstanding examples of .32 caliber. The Smith & Wesson Models 16-4 and 631 are also excellent.
I believe it was Green Frog who had a SW 616 built from a K frame Model 17. I have lusted after it for years. But this offering from Bowen must really be outstanding. I'm tempted.
The Model 16-4, when it can be found, is now regularly getting over $1600. The Dan Wesson 32's are well over $2,000, when you read about one every couple of years.
So I think the Bowen name gets that example above $3k.
Trying to step back away from the cliff, I realize that the 327fednag approaches the 357mag. That's were my logic breaks down; why not just keep shooting my Model 19's if I can't tell the difference. Does the target know the difference between heavier bullet going slower and a lighter bullet going faster.
Prescut But, I can always find a way to rationalize a poor decision.

My 4" M-16.... Found a complete extra 32 mag cylinder on Gun Parts and had Reeder fit and rechamber to 327 so there`s no lose of collector value... May have to find her a new home...

It cost a lot because it's not easy to re-chamber a Model 19 to .32 caliber like the listing says. First you put the chamber reamer in and realize it's not touching anything. Then you have to to weld all the chambers closed and start over. Then when it won't shoot for beans, you figure it out and do the same thing to the barrel.

New barrel, new cylinder. Done. I had a 22 cal target barrel from a K-22 (?), but when the S7 came out I decided that was good enough for me and sold the barrel to Hamilton.

James...are baiting or just torturing oddshooter.... I had one just like than and sold it to Dick instead...he loves it... If I sell my Dan Wesson and S&W 32 mag`s I`ll still have my 32 mag S&W 631 and 5" GP-100 in 327.... Its my time to thin the collection

The 631 is a perfect size for a .32 H&R...have no clue what S&W is thinking...Ruger is killing them...

If it were a 4" I'd be having a lot harder time.......... I've got a 4" M53 barrel being rebored for .32 now... But...what you (I) really want is a skinny ribbed M18 barrel rebored to .32 mounted on a M15 with a rebored M18 cylinder. Skinny rib, tapered barrel, no weighty underlug will make a nice light .32. Should be done soon I hope
