Thanks for all the feedback guys I really do appreciate it. I found a formula for correct bullet hardness on the gun blast web sight and by going by that formula the bullet should be a 8bhn. Maybe even an 11 would be to hard. I really do not want much more than 900 1000 feet per second but I would like a bullet that I could hunt with as well. Thanks

I used a 10 BHN bullet from m 500Max, it gave great accuracy out to 80 yards and I would not hesitate to shoot big large game with it. I pushed it to 1000fps and no issues, I think if you can get good accuracy medium game should not be a problem for your bullet.

Your softer bullets with 7.5 grs of Unique were shooting just fine, but a bit of leading. Your hard CP bullets wouldn't shoot at all because they were too hard, especially with that GC, so you've about figured out your problem. Gas cutting. You have some BHN 11 bullets coming & they most likely will solve your problem if sized .430". As mentioned, going to powder coating will solved the problem if you decide to use them. Cast Performance makes a great bullet but they are heat treated & very hard so they aren't plinkers, they need velocity to make they shine, shooting them slow can cause leading & is expensive. No need for a GC on a plinking bullet. Dick ***** Agree with Dick. Without holding the revolver, its provenance with Clements & Pac-Nor further directs attention to the BULLET. David Bradshaw

Two solutions:
1) Powder coated bullets
2) If you want to shoot cast bullets, give them a coat of Lee's Liquid Alox, even if they are already lubed. I coat all my cast bullets with liquid alox, even if they have been sized and lubed, and especially if they are commercial bullets. I've had leading in the past, but not since I lube everything with liquid alox. No change in accuracy, but all leading went away......

I assume the forcing cone would've been cut to 11° when the barrel was installed. If not, that should be the first order of business. One can buy a chamfering kit from Brownell's for probably less scratch than a revolver can be shipped back and forth to a 'smith, and just do the deed in house; it's a simple operation. I have a couple of mud fence ugly, consecutively numbered 4 3/4" Uberti Hombre's in .357 that the wife and I used when we dipped our toes in the CAS waters ten or so years ago. These two were actually my first real exposure to SA revolvers. After we found we didn't have time to invest in the sport, they sat idle for years until I decided mess with them to see how they'd shoot. I found, much to my surprise, rested over my knees whilst leaning back against a mesquite tree, they'd shoot close to palm-size groups at 75 yds. with most any load. The only problem was the forcing cone leaded pretty bad with my roaming-the-creek load of a 153-155 gr. home-cast SWC @1000 +/- fps. I cut the forcing cone to 11° which helped somewhat, but it appeared the leading might be caused by the sharp "corner" where the forcing cone transitions to the rifling. So, I endeavored to fire-lap in order to correct this. Before('scuse the crappy cell phone photos)- After- So if all else fails, there's something else you might try. Cholla

Thanks guys, I went ahead and ordered some lee Alox. I considered fire lapping but Mr Clements told me not to, if I the gun didnt cost so much I sure would try it.

If Mr. Clements built it, there is no thread choke and the dimensions are right. I really think the edges are just too new and sharp. I really would fire a few jacketed bullets through it to burnish the sharp edges. It can't hurt...........
