Picked this one up a while back and just cast some Keith bullets for it so I thought I'd share a few photos. It's built on a pre war S&W Outdoorsman that Andy converted from .38 spl to .44 spl. The barrel is 4 3/4" with Andy's super cool express style muzzle treatment. The action is finely tuned with a trigger that has to be experienced to believe. A unique twist is the relieved trigger guard which I suppose is to help with fast shooting. I'm not fast at much anything but it's a nice custom touch that I personally had never seen before. The grips are customs from who knows where but are short as they end at the bottom of the grip frame. They fit my hands well. We'll see how they do while shooting.I've got some grips from Zane I need to try on it and see how they feel too. When I opened the case I found something that wasn't shown in the listing for sale. Quite the surprise! The gun came from CO and I can imagine it on display in the parlor at some cattle baron's mansion. Andy Horvath .44 Special conversion... Sorry for the fuzz from the case...

What a gem. Cool box. If it were mine that thing would live in a holster though! Thanks for sharing.

Ah I know a shop here in Denver that probably had that gun at some point, they have a bunch from someone's collection that all have similar cases, many with similar pics. Most of the guns are customized double actions of some sort, many done better than others. I didn't see that gun in there but the case was telling and this gun fits right into his flair.
That said it looks all sorts of cool and would be a fun gun to shoot I think.

The price was too high for me until I got a notice they had reduced it and alas it sold before I could get it. Was a cool revolver.

Yes I asked to handle it when they had it at $2200 on their hang tag (no idea what the web listing price was) and the counter bastard refused me! Guess he didn't think I was a real customer as I was waiting for my back ground check to clear on a Winchester 1895!?! They are not exactly revolver guys but the owner is and a lot of what is under the counter is unique old wheel guns of various condition. It wasn't that cool when it was up close, the barrel solder was a bit heavy, Front sight was way over sized and ungainly, the wrong rear sight was used and the sight slot for it was milled too wide, the grips didn't fit it very well either. Conceptually cool but it missed the mark a number of ways, be happy you didn't grab that one...

Yeah.....it looked kinda rough.
Might have been worth the $1200 they sold it for.

Awesome looking sixgun!! I snagged the old school twin to your pistol, a third model .44 special with Kings adjustable sights I had overhauled by Frank Glenn.
