That looks nice...I was actually thinking the bull hide like I used on my Snubbie holster might make interesting grips...

I think Seyfreid glued chamois skin to a set once,....I’ve done it with Archery grips years ago, it does make them tactile.

You can do anything, but lay off of my glued sued grips.

This is funny, I was just thinking about something similar. But more along the lines of is there leather thick enough to make a grip scale out of or maybe glue some up like a boot heal, a leather micarta? I know they have done stacked leather knife handles for a LONG LONG time.

That would be cool but wouldn't look like the ply-wood grips glued together as the taper was formed to the size of the grip showing the stacks. Don't ask me but that colt devil gun looks good along with Wheelman's bull hide Snubbie holster.

I did rattlesnake skin grips when I first started. Don’t know about bull hide but stingray, ostrich and iguana are options. Whatever you use needs to be pretty thin. you also have to make thinner than usual grips as the base otherwise the finished product is gonna be thicker than you want it.
one could probably use a really thick piece of tooling leather and either stamp it or carve it for looks but there’s no telling how it will hold up to a lot of use. also without some kind of solid backer it’s going to be hard keeping them on the frame as the screw holes will probably wallow out pretty quick.
