Dang! I hope a 4" version is eventually offered...IF & when they make em in that length, I'll buy one to replace the one I sold to a friend 20 years ago...That he continually refuses to sell back to me.

BEEN WORKING WITH IT FOR TWO WEEKS--HAD TO SIGN A NDA UNTIL TODAY. IT IS AN OVERSIZED NEW PYTHON WITH THE SAME ACTION--COLT ALREADY HAS MY CC#.

The big question: will they bring it out in .45 Colt?

The big question: will they bring it out in .45 Colt? AND WITH PROPER SIZED THROATS! TO JOHN TAFFIN: WHILST YOU HAVE THEIR EAR, TELL 'EM TO DO A 45 COLT WITH .453 THROATS, NO MORE OF THAT HISTORICAL COLT OVERSIZED 45 COLT THROATING.

The big question: will they bring it out in .45 Colt? The original document I saw on the production of these indicated they were only doing it in 45 colt, at least to start. Guess that changed but I think it is in the works assuming CZ doesn't do something completely different moving forwards with Colt in general. Who know what their big picture plan with Colt really is...

Does this guy have an editor? Proofreader?
Lots of words for little info: 6 or 8 inch barrel, New Python lockwork, D&T top strap (which is nice, now we need a factory Hunter option with Colt/Leupold 4x scope), heavy trigger, and no real information on accuracy potential.
Good looking gun that I hope becomes available in a 45 ACP/45 Colt configuration.

IF they do put out a 45 Colt version, I'll wait & see if they get it right. I bought the first one I saw back when they came out & it was one of the most unaccurate revolvers I've ever seen...A total exercise in futility!

SOME OF THE FIRST ORIGINAL ANACONDAS HAD BAD BARREL STOCK--IT WAS QUICKLY FIXED.

I never knew about that, I just figured it was mostly due to the oversized chamber throats... I didn't measure them, but jacketed .452" bullets fell right through with room to spare, & I can recall being amazed at tapping a .458" rifle bullet through with very little resistance as well. I eventually took it back to the shop I bought it at & showed them, and they exchanged it for a 44 Magnum version, which was an excellent gun all around.
