I purchased my first Ruger Blackhawk in 1975. It was a 7.5" 45 Colt.
I put about 3,500 rounds through that pistol in about a year...I traded on a Colt Gold cup to allow for some 1911 practice before heading off to active duty in the Marines.
I have owned 3 or 4 more Ruger single actions over the years. All gave great service and were what I would consider good value.
Here I am, later in life - and wanting to try "something different".
From 3 feet away I could tell the FA was another breed of revolver. The fit of the various parts is amazing to behold, and tells you something about the care put into the assembly.
The test target tells you something, as well! No revolver can shoot like this by accident!
I hope to get it out this weekend for a first trial.
I don't name firearms. Seems kinda silly. But in this case, I really can't help myself.
Remember the movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still"? Recall the impervious, seamless metal the craft and robot were made of?
This revolver seems to be similarly from out of this world, seamless and impervious.
This revolver will be called Gort.
I tried to upload a picture, but no matter how small I sized it, I was told it was too big!
