Does this suggest that the Blackhawk will be the platform and not the Single Six as some of you opined?

The 8 shot 327 Blackhawk is the current production 327 Ruger single action... The Single Six 327 is at a minimum a custom cylinder project.... The standard answer here is that we obviously need both... ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

;D I hate it for those guys who think that the 327 isn't going to make it because there is no brass.... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Well a gun with no brass to load ammo or factory ammo to shoot in it is a fancy paper weight. ;D

Good thing that there is plenty of brass available for the 327 ;D

I do wish Starline would start cranking out some .327 brass.

![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Axe, Does the new stainless gripframe have "The Lock" on it, just curious, won't keep me from getting one but I'm wondering about the grips, if they'll be the old regular XR3-Red or the new style to accomadate the lock? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Thanks

Expecting to see the gun any day now... I'll pop the grips and report on the lock ASAP. Jeff Quinn may have looked and reported in his GunBlast article.. Slipped over to "GunBlast.com" and noted that Jeff did take the stocks off.. There was no lock under them... www.gunblast.com/Ruger-327s.htm

I don't have the new Blackhawk, but I do have the SP101 in 327 Federal. Its a screamin' little round and the recoil - to me at least - feels less than a 38 Special +P with the 158 grain LHP that has been so popular for years. As far as muzzle energy figures, it smokes the 38 special and rides on the heels (and sometimes overtakes) the 357 magnum. There IS brass out there. There IS ammo out there. You just have to look for it. Nothing scientific, but here's a pic of the 115 grain Speer GDHP after it blasted through almost 4 1-gallon water jugs, embedding itself in the back of the plastic wall of the 4th jug. Its on the left. The middle round is an old Speer "flying ashtray" at about 1100 fps and on the right, a Speer 250 grain Speer GDHP loaded up in 45 Colt cases with 13.5 grains Blue Dot. ![](http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d132/dougader/MVC-002F.jpg) ![](http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d132/dougader/MVC-003F.jpg)

BTW, have decided to send my .327 Blackhawk to Dave Clements for some basic slicking (and I'm halfway thinking a shorter barrel). Dave says he needs to see it before we can figure out how to wring the best out of it. I'll keep you guys informed as we move through the process...have already talked to Cary C about a nice set of grips...am sort of thinking light wood for the stainless gun...thoughts?
