Picked it up last night. Fit and finish is excellent. Trigger is surprisingly light but has some creep. HEAVY! But I knew that before ordering it. This is the brush chrome finish.

............ At 11 yds (my range doesn't do 10 yds for some reason), I put 5 shots in 13/16 of an inch! It may just be a coincidence, but 11 yards is darn near 10 meters (10.058, actually). Maybe your range owner hails from the European Continent, or was otherwise "metricated" back in the 70s like we were all supposed to be.

I always though they would make a great gun for duck hunting. Should be heavy enough for an anchor for my Jon boat. Lol
I know a guy that has one in 357 mag. He used to lug it around deer hunting when we were doing deer drives. Always walked a little shorter on his right side at the end of the day!!!!!!

I've wanted one ever since I saw Harley Davidson and Marlboro Man. I understand that movie is held in very low regard with many on this forum. Nevertheless, ever since watching Don Johnson wield one in the film, a cowboy with a DE .44 just makes sense.
Having shot the .50, I'll say that while expensive, the gun was pleasant and accurate. I could see making a set of pommel scabbards for a brace of these fine pistols.

Is there any advantage to adding custom grips that you guys have found? I was thinking about the G10 Hogues or a set of the finger grooved ones?

Haven’t shot it yet. Been in collecting mode Last night I purchased a DE 44 mag in the new case hardened finish. It should be here in a couple of weeks. Will post photos when it arrives.

Groo here I got an early one , a 357 . But was lucky as it could take the 44 mag conversion kit. In 357 it was like shooting a 22 but with a lot of slide movement.. My friends son shot some ipsc with... The other shooters stopped when it went off, and it would sure make steel get down!!!!!! In 44 mag the kick is more but the action spred it out over a long period of time. If you get one forget lead ,, or plated just go with jackets and just throw a max charge. There were some DE loads only but with a solid 6 in barrel it would easly match an 8in revolver. It is built for full pressure loads and stick to 158 or heaver.... I still have mine and the kit.

Finally picked it up. I don't usually like color case hardening, but that Desert Eagle is beautiful! Excellent purchase.
