Mine was actually pretty easy to do... used a 1 in 9" twist barrel blank... threaded both ends, breech end got the "Raging" threads, the Muzzle end got the Dan Wesson threads... I only had one extra stainless barrel shroud, so 6" was the magic number... I found the full underlug 10" "Raging" barrel with the small bore to be extremely muzzle heavy ( I still have it, & the gun is unmodified if I ever wanted to reinstall it )... The Shroud only required minor fitting, to mate up with the "Raging"... with the 1 in 9" twist, even most 223 bullets will stabilize in this revolver, & it's much better balanced than it was in stock form... I was always going to get an 8 or 10" Stainless Dan Wesson barrel shroud & have a longer barrel made also... but those shrouds we harder to come by than I expected, & the 6" barrel gives me everything I'm looking for out of the Hornet cartridge... now if I could move this again to the top of the work list, & it would be chambered for K Hornet
