We'd get cookies going and the first batch would be gone before the 2nd batch made it out of the oven. With 6 kids in the house, it was a common occurrence.

The one's right behind the paper towels my wife calls Thumbprints. Those all look good. Any Butterspritz's up there? My bride is half German so butter is used and abused here!

...one year a long time ago, my mother bought an electric cookie gun. I came home one afternoon before Christmas and there were raw cookies not only on the cookie sheets to go into the oven but all over the table.
My mother said that the gun made too many cookies...I said, not if you take your finger off the trigger when the cookie sheet is full...
...can't make this stuff up.

Rasberry thumbprints are my favorite. RJM was that comment followed up with a fuh-wap!? No butter spritzes, four pounds of butter used yesterday.

With my now second Lab growing old, and no sweet tooth, I'd be hanging with that good looking pup !

I didn't think I would be too much of a fan of Thumbprints, but that was before I tasted them. My bride's best friend got her started on everything besides the spritzes. 4 pounds of butter is about perfect I'd say but I'm just a taster so what would I know. Looks like a fun time.

Unfortunately I look at that counter and can feel my blood sugar jumping on the elevator. My sweet tooth had been the toughest part of this diabetes journey I started traveling last year.

Yup... type 2 here ( I call it old man diabetes ) I have more issues with potatoes than the sweets... but I have been known to sit down & eat a whole pan of fudge, back when I was a younger man... MRS is famous for her French Silk pies... so she is kept busy between Thanksgiving & New Years with them... I think she is at 16 of them so far this year... might be one more made for Christmas dinner but as far as decorations... with no kids & no company coming this year... I don't think she is even getting the stockings out to hang by the fireplace ( we're using Walmart bags this year ( (how festive is that ) & gift bags make the wrapping of presents easy... ( I still spoil her every year, even though it's just the 2 of us ) the smart phone helps out there... every time she mentioned she likes something, I link it on my phone... made Christmas shopping pretty easy this year... BTW... nice looking pup... wishing our now 18 month old Lab/German Shepard cross would grow out of his puppy stage... he destroys anything he can sink his big teeth into... MRS bought him a hard rubber ball that had a tennis ball inside... 30 minutes later... a bunch of pieces scattered all over the yard... at least that kept him from chewing on the patio furniture for a half hour... hoping yours is an easy train... Merry Christmas to everyone
