So I sold 3 guns, and have been paid for one. On one the money order is stuck in the mail system. The other, the buyer says he can’t pay because he is now sick, and must quarantine.

But you still have the guns so it is what it is and it may take a week or three to be paid ? the mail is a total mess i got mail dated 1/04/21 this week is that the buyers problem no . I also have Hospital bills coming to be paid from three months ago from all over the states . One Doctors billing will come 1,200 miles from the my home and i can walk to his office from home . We are in trying times live with it .

Won't go so far to say I'm throwing in the towel on Gunbroker but the golden years might be history much the same way as I would consider them to be on ebay. Was a ebay user in the late 90's with a degree of success and have to say the market exposure and related sales success was enjoyable. However sometime around 10 years ago the fun began to subside. Have been a Gunbroker user for almost 20 years now and likewise it has been a good experience. For example my local dealer has about four Ruger No. 1 rifles on the rack that have not budged for a couple of years now. I listed one of my own around the first of December and got a 50% premium over his average asking price in one week. The only downside with respect to this particular transaction, and it is relative to this thread, is that the USPS took from 12/10 until 1/20 to deliver from NH to Ky which proved to be a bit of a nail-biter.
Would have to agree with most all the pointers thus far (e.g. charged buyer flat $35 shipping/gave my FFL $65, ate $30 in the interest of perception). Never been ripped off/always been more than fair with my buyers. Pack with the assumption it will be abused (sometimes the buyer reflects that within my feedback which pays dividends). Have to believe not taking some form of electronic payment is much more critical relative to the sales of black rifles & pistols vs. single shot rifles and single action revolvers.
Will likely continue to use Gunbroker but I do not turn any great quantity and that has been going down as I age and become more comfortable with the "keepers".

So I just sold one going to Maine. It is a sales tax state. Gunbroker added the cost of the sales tax to the buyers bill. I will get billed for it, but he will have already paid me for it.

Same experience as Wheelguns last week. They figure it into the buyers cost. UNLESS the buyer just reads price plus shipping without going into the invoice feature. I also have a no pay on a guy with USMC in his title. GRRRRR

It is funny how things work out. My non paying buyer had an A+ 63 transaction rating. The guy from Maine was not rated, and was my fastest, easiest transaction so far.
