There's a Marlin 41 mag for sale here locally for $1,400. I just can't bring myself to pay anywhere close to that for a Marlin lever gun (but I sold my 45-70 Guide Gun about 10 years ago for $450) If you have anymore for $450 I'd be glad to take them off your hands. 😁 Justin

The surest way for something to go up in value is for me to have one and then sell it😁

About a year ago I decided to sell a spare , backup Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Nobody wanted it and all I got was a few lowball offers . Now I'm glad I kept it cuz now it's RARE & EXOTIC. But I did not completely escape poor timing Karma. I did sell a nice 18" straight stock 336 in 30-30 for a very average price. Well , I did buy a homeless , unloved Remlin 44 mag that seems to be put together OK ,,,,,, but the jury is still out on that one.

The ULTRA RARE JM - Pre Remington Marlin? Despite the fact that 95% of all the Marlin's in the world are pre Remington?

Pre Remlin Marlins are pretty rare in my part of the woods; especially the straight walled pistol caliber guns. I have hope that Ruger will do the design justice. Time will tell.

I just got off the phone with David Clements, having relieved him of everything 30-30 on that list of his. That was over half of the funds for the waffle top in that pic above. I'll make a thread if it ever comes together, or it'll be like the box of 338 Black Talon I just sold.

I read on the American Rifleman website yesterday that Ruger is working diligently to get new Marlin's out sometime late this year.

Only one Marlin and it is an octagon barrel cowboy model. It’s been at Ben Forkin’s for several years getting a butt stock through bolt installed, Skinner rear sight, the wood put on a diet and some color by Turnbull along with action job. I hope to see it before I leave this world.
