I just discovered this morning that my Misen chef's knife is made in China. You really have to read the fine print. That makes me mad. I was going to order another knife from them until I saw that. I'm not pleased about that either. Might have to purchase Japanese knives. Even some "German" steel knives are made in China. I have been so picky about pocket knives. I don't know why I just assumed Misen would be any different. I know you have to look at every model of knife, even by the same maker. Some Spyderco knives are made in USA or Taiwan, but some are made in China. WTH? Boker knives in Germany has some models that are made in China, and Kershaw (right here in Oregon) has some knives made here locally and others made in China. I just bought a Japanese knife made by Yaxell, a very old Japanese company that is all about quality and perfection. Their Enso prep knife with SG2 steel, 5.5" with a Bunka or Kiritsuke blade profile. They have a 15% off coupon going on Amazon with their knives. www.amazon.com/Enso-SG2-Prep-Knife-Stainless/dp/B07KFNNZPQ/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=enso+sg2&qid=1607913775&sr=8-1

American made none the less. Nice job Thanks. Made in America was much more difficult than it should be. Some of the USA brands have imported lids.
