Merkel 147e. Fired on closing. Factory repair twice. Traded back to original seller after factory confirmation it was ok. Like the sxs gurus say: avoid single trigger sxs guns
Ruger sp 101. Shot consistently 8 inches low at 20 yards. Filed front site in half and got Clements to do action job. Became nice pistol. Traded. But nice pistol once modified.
Ruger mini 14 ranch 223: minute of coffee can accuracy
Ruger lever action 44 mag hammerless carbine: actually my dads. 8 inch groups at 100. Really wanted this gun to shoot. Nice package.
Dad had several tauras revolvers. Sent all back to factory for exercise of the lifetime warranty.
Oh yeah, dad had one of those two cylinder ruger 357,38, 9mm blackhawks. Weird thing where cylinder just kinda free spun and unlocked. Timing off. Lock up off. After factory fix he traded.

Moisin Nagant...another POS, 30" groups at 100?? Dang. The first one I bought shot about that way. It's the worst looking Moisin I've ever seen and the reason I've kept it all these years. lol (bought and sold a few others over the years) Anyway, you were lucky to keep most of the shots on a man sized target at 100 yards. Made sense, considering how crudely the outside was made. I bought about 10-15 packs of surplus ammo with the gun and it and it probably lasted me near ten years (because who wants to shoot giant groups?) When that ammo finally ran out I bought some more surplus ammo. Went to the range with a friend one day and brought it along. He was shooting it, and when I checked his target through the spotting scope, he had a dang near 1" group at 100 yards! Doh! Ammo, not the gun!

Yugo made Ak47 clone. POS extraordinaire. I could hit targets at 25 and 50 yards... but moved to 100 yards and NOT ONE hit. Sold it off the next day.

Glock 21 SF...horrible trigger, even for a Glock. Very hard to rack the slide. S&W Model 63...poor accuracy and general lack of the smoothness of action I expect in a Smith. Ruger 10/22T...mediocre accuracy and stock poorly fitted.

Ruger Bisley 6.5" .480. Barrel pitting from the hammer forge process. Had to return several times to try to get a clean barrel. Gun was "accidentally" destroyed at the factory on one of the return trips and replaced with a new gun. New gun still has a 2" section of pitting about 1" ahead of the forcing cone but the barrel is much better than the other attempts. Even with the pitting, shoots exceptionally well with RCBS400gr swc. And, the grips fit so bad I wonder why they even sell these guns with grips. Time and time again we experience poor quality with most manufacturers. Nothing is surprising anymore.

Grips fit like an old pair of church pants. I can’t get over what people are currently paying for this. Some auctions going over $2k. QuAlity is not there. At those prices buy a freedom arms!!!

Now, if my guns could talk of their disappointment in me.. a much longer discussion that would turn ugly.

I bought a High Standard Sentinel last summer for no good reason other than retro coolness. It's clunky and crunchy, but I expected this from a 60+ year old pot meal gun that originally sold for less than $50.00 What disappointed me is that it shoots so high it's pretty much useless to me. I bought another front sight hoping it would help, but it's no better. I suppose I could have that sight milled off and a new taller blade installed, but that would cost more that what I paid for it, which was already too much. So it sits.
I've owned a single six for forty years that's the same way, shoots so high it's kind of useless.

I've owned a single six for forty years that's the same way, shoots so high it's kind of useless. I had the same problem with my Single Six, I installed a Bowen rear sight and it still shot high. So....I removed the front sight and took it to a welder friend and he built up the hight and I used a file to work it down to shooting point of aim. Reblued the front sight and all was good, one my more accurate 22 revolvers.

Mine's an old model, drift rear sight, which makes it harder to fix. I just need to shoot at things farther and farther away until the sights hit right.

Smith & Wesson Model 53 .22 Jet, it was really bad to stick cases it had to be really clean. It would lock up the cylinder. The concussion from the muzzle blast would knock your hat off. I traded it to Hamilton Bowen for a project he was working on, I think he made it into a 32-20.

To beat the dead horse... A Para 10mm long slide that went from very tight, to very very loose in about 450 rounds. All of them fired trying to find a load that would group. I have no doubt I could have gotten just as good "groups" with those 40 cal bullets and a sling shot.
