I just got an email today from an order I placed in April that all the items were ready to ship: W748, W231, CCI #41 primers (1000), and 500 .223 bullets. Took awhile, but I told them to process the order and ship it.
I have had no issues finding the bullets and powder I use most. I have a fair stash of primers, but always like to replenish what I load and shoot, so I'm shooting a lot of factory ammo at the weekly matches at the range where I work part time. The primer is now the most expensive component of the cartridge (at least in my area).
My wife headed down to shoot Ladies Action tonight and just called me that she was able to pick up another 5 boxes of 9mm and 500 22 LR at the shop before she shot.
I'm with you guys...watch your penny's, eliminate debt, drive a little older rig, and when opportunity pops up, jump on it and buy that new gun, or press, or more components while the other guy is trying to figure out how to make the monthly payments.
Cheers!

Just looking on gun broker. Small pistol primer= $2500 and up for 9000!!! At this rate I'll be taking a year off from shooting. Ive got 47 rounds of 38spec. 6 ( yes 6!) 357, 10 360dw, and 27 spp! Probably going to load those in 357. I'm getting about desperate. Crazy part is I have HUNDREDS of pounds of processed wheel weights for bullets and enough powder for thousands of rounds of ammo. Once this crazy is over I will be keeping at least five years of everything stockpiled.

...Once this crazy is over I will be keeping at least five years of everything stockpiled. The sad fact is that many a handloader is saying the exact same thing. And it's gonna stretch out this shortage for longer than any of us want. Personally, I'm not in a bad spot for components, but goodness knows I'll be stocking in pretty deep when some sense of normalcy returns.

But I won't get caught flat foot again.

Promo kegs on powder valley Danged. Out of stock. Thanks though. One(1) keg of MP300 there now. I would have bought some of it and the PROMO last night, but really don't need more powder... I have kegs of 296, AA9, H108, W231, VV3n37 (2 x 4#), Universal.... plus 1# bottles of several others. I am intrigued by the newer BE86, though... I need to shoot more so I can load more, and use up my powder!

I wish individuals had the ability to ship powder and primers so we could trade or sell to members here who are in need.
I donated some powder and primers to Dick's Wounded Warrior effort several years ago, but was only able to do it because some Idahoans were visiting Portland and I was able to hand it off to them to take back to Dick in Idaho.
A local church member is getting into reloading and started with shotshells, so I got him started with metallic reloading with a few 100 small pistol primers, a pound of Red Dot I got for something like $2.34 when I was working at Cabela's a few years ago, and some Zero jhp bullets. I thought he had his press already, but not yet, so I have my eye out for a used turret or single stage press for him. His Dad is my age, immigrated from Cuba when he was 6, and although we don't have a lot of friends, I count him as one of the best men I know in my area.

Thats coincidental. I have a Cuban neighbor (I call him my brother). First time I met him, I heard a commotion over at his place. Sounded like yelling and cussing and screaming. I grabbed a shotgun and went over. I found him in his yard half covered in blood. We live on 5 acres each bordering a large(ish) ranch. Hogs had gotten into his garden. He rode one down on a 4-wheeler and machete'd it to death. Parked the 4 wheeler on another; caught another and killed it with a machete; then went over, picked up the 4 wheeler and dragged out the other one and killed it with a machete.
Point is, Cubans are great people some times; just dont EVER get into a knife fight with one. And if they ever want to cook a meal for you; TAKE THEM UP ON IT!!

Powder Valley is updating their inventory fairly frequently. Of course they have to when it sells out again.

This is what I envisioned for this thread. Folks helping each other find the components they need.
