I’m just happy to now that “Marlin” lever guns will still be available and not just a thing of the past.

While I could nit pick Ruger quality as far as fit and finish, I am extremely glad to see marlin snatched out of the coffers of investment groups that feed anti gun movements. Ruger in my mind is a very sound and steady company, and has the balls to drag up manufacturing and move to more gun friendly states. I understand that we may see a dry spell of marlin lever guns while they move manufacturing but I can guarantee you I will buy a Ruger/marlin when opportunity presents itself. I really think it would be fantastic if they offered a 25-20 single six bisley and a marlin 25-20 lever gun through Lipseys. Or if they teamed up with Hornady to produce a 25-327 Ruger.

A Max or a stainless .41 would be lovely.

...a .41 in stainless or a 24" blue octagon would float my boat....
The 1894 "Classic" that they made back in the 1980s with 2/3s magazine, straight stock in .25-20 and .32-20...one in .327 Federal would be a seller...
Wonder where the plant will be moved to.... In talking to some of the people I know at the Newport, NH plant they could use 100 more workers and there are none to be had with the skills needed...

Maybe they will make the 38-40 1894 Cowboy they had in their catalog 20 years ago,but never made it to production.

Read this morning Ruger paid 30 million for Marlin and paid for it from "cash on hand" so about as clean of a acquisition as could be hoped for.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds now for them...

I'd like to see the return of the Handi rifles that were flushed after Remington got their grubby mitts on them. Doubt that will happen in the "mag-dump" age...

I would like to place my order today for a new Ruger-Marlin (Rugerlin) model 39A with a nice stock and an 18" barrel. Would be much handier than the 24" barrel Marlin has been putting on them.

I’d settle for some properly sized cylinder throats and barrels without thread choke. But, I am not getting my hopes up.

I would love a 336 Marlin chambered in 357 Max I would carry and use that the rest of my days on Earth.
