Box of parts with a donor revolver headed to Houston for a build. Anybody wanna hazard a guess what the brown truck people charged for the overnight ride?

I shipped my last one through the US Postal Service with the cylinder removed. My Postmaster called it gun parts. I’m not telling you to do that, but gun parts can be mailed, just not a working firearm. If I had to send the whole working gun, I’d send two packages, one revolver with no cylinder, and another with just the cylinder. YMMV

Living in N Y if the gun went missing ,I’m sure if I didn’t label it as such I’d be a guest on rikers!

If I am shipping a pistol I let my local FFL do it since they can use flat rate Priority Mail.

If I am shipping a pistol I let my local FFL do it since they can use flat rate Priority Mail. Problem with that is that legally they have to transfer it into their name which in my case counts as a transfer (($25) so it ends up only being slightly cheaper than Fedex Express Saver. In my experience the big cost comes in when you start insuring them...

In my experience the big cost comes in when you start insuring them... Yep, I insured my 357 Max going to John Powers and it really jacked up the price.

Not only a fee but a extra trip to pd to have a pistol that was on my license ,put on my license! Makes sense right?
