So, I'm getting tired of just putting my BFR in a sock and tossing it into my range bag or into the large pouch of my rifle bag for range trips. I just feel that it deserves something a little better. Does anyone make a nice, dedicated case or range bag geared towards large single action revolvers?
Pics appreciated.

Not sure how carried away you want to get but look into the Pelican cases, there as nice as you can get.

I bought some hard plastic gun cases many years ago, that work well for Contenders, & handguns. They were, if I recall correctly, were initially for take apart shotguns. I can get 2-4 handguns in one, and are easy to carry. I think they were made by Doskill. However,, they may no longer be available. I have seen several hard cases in sturdy plastic, such as Pelican, or other companies,, that are also excellent. Do an internet search for camera cases, & other plastic hard cases. I see plenty of that stuff at SHOT! And yet,, I saw something a while back,, that made me think; "That would make a great handgun case!" I was in a truckstop, and saw an aluminum briefcase type metal carrying case, that would fit your desires easily. Seems it was only about $25-$35 or so.

I like a soft case for handguns because they are easier to stuff in the gun safe than hard cases. I have several makes, but my favorite is the Allen Heritage two handgun attache case. It's roomy enough for a scoped 7 1/2" revolver and it has a roomy outside zippered pocket for ammo, etc.
Correction: I started to order one of the Allen gun cases mentioned above and discovered that the dimensions have changed. The case is now smaller and WIlL NOT handle a scoped 7 1/2" revolver. My apologies.

I have a soft case for my 7 1/2” bisley with an ultradot on it. It is made by bulldog. Works good has a little pouch on the outside that I keep a spare battery and small screwdriver in. I think it was under $20

At work we go through a fair amount of Dewalt drill and impact cordless sets, and the hard plastic cases they come in get tossed...I grab them up, cut the interior out and then replace it with closed cell foam to make sturdy cases for my revolvers. They can hold 2-3 each, depending on the size of the guns.

THEY HAVE A LARGE SCOPED REVOLVER CASE THAT MEASURES 16 INCHES x 8.5 INCHES AND HAS POCKETS ON BOTH SIDES. MAKE SURE YOU SPECIFY A REVOLVER CASE OR ELSE YOU MAY GET THE POCKETS CONFIGURED FOR CLIPS. OK TO SAY REY GARZA GAVE ME YOUR NAME. I HAVE 2 THAT I HAVE USED FOR 30 YEARS, AND OTHERS THAT I HAVE USED FOR OVER 20 YEARS. THE VELCRO ON A POCKET FLAP OR 2 COULD USE SOME TLC, BUT ALL ELSE STILL WORKS GREAT. PRICE IS SOMEWHERE IN THE $30 - $40 RANGE (I THINK).
