Does anyone remember or have a Bowen Sixgunner conversion 44 Magnum? I think this was a package he offered to members on the old Sixgunner web page. A friend has one on a Bisley 44 Magnum, I think the barrel was shortened to 5 1/2" with a new front sight and a Bowen rear sight. I think the guns were stamped "Sixgunner.org" ? I hope to see the gun tomorrow. Anyone else have or remember these? Probably 15-20 years ago? Shawn

Reeder did a batch of guns and then Clements did a bunch of Bisley Vaqueros but I don't remember Bowen doing one. Either way, if it's a Bowen Bisley, it'll be dreamy!

MAYBE WHAT YOU REFER TO IS ONE OF BOWEN's PERFECTED BISLEY PACKAGES?

Before my time but never heard of or seen one.
Hamilton did some promotions early on like Handgunner give aways.

I saw my friend’s gun today. It is stamped on the butt: Built by Bowen Classic Arms for Sixgunner.com It is a Bisley SBH, barrel cut to 5 1/2”, new higher front sight, Bowen rear sight, action job (feels like a lighter mainspring), locking base pin. I remember seeing this offered on the old Sixgunner web page, I told my friend and he picked up a used Bisley SBH and sent it off to Bowen. I remember he told me that Bowen told him he had to replace the cylinder with another that Bowen had on hand. Apparently the gun is setup for heavy bullets as it shoots low with 240’s with the rear sight cranked up. Nobody else has one, or remembers this from the old Sixgunner.com days? I took some pics, but no way to post. PM me if you want to see it. Shawn

I remember these deals. I think Bowen's sixgunner package on your gun was eight 00 bills. The others(Reeder Custom or Clements) were half that or less. I think the old sixgunner.com board was on John Taffin's site and it had a chat room. That chat room is where I met a lot of the guys I know today.

I got one of the Clements guns. Seems like they were around $600 with the basic tuning. I had Blumagnum grips added to mine as well.
The original Sixgunner.com was Jim Taylor's baby. It was bought by Brian Cosby when Jim left for mission in Africa and went under a couple years later. I started Sixgunner.org and then bought the *.com domain a couple years ago at auction.
