That jig,, showing an OM action,, with a OM trigger & hammer laying on the side,, but a different trigger in the actual action got my attention quickly. Is this a different trigger design you are working on Ronnie? That is the trigger that's used with NM grip frames on OM guns.

Gentlemen, That is the new trigger i have developed for a Real Bisley Old model that utilizes the old model pusher plunger spring apparatus instead of a retrofitted new model gripframe on an old model. It is shaped that way to close up the cut in the trigger guard and mimic the Ruger bisley trigger. I love the old model trigger return. it just feels great to me. This trigger is a smidge longer because i have an enlarged version of the bisley old model for fat fingers and cold weather shooting gloves. This is one on a 44 Ronnie stupid! Notice the plunger trigger return. And the big ole trigger guard hole.

The one you are talking about has a little longer tang on it for use with the new model frame and return spring! The one in the picture is for the old model. they do look similar but just a smidge of a difference, but not much. I need a little tang on there, bushog so that it looked similar to the new model bisleys. On the old model frame the cut out is not as deep like the new model because i need the meat in the grip frame for the return plunger hole. I will put the two together for ya and shoot a pic for you Bud! How are ya man. I have been a busy little beaver with all this. Trying to get the cylinders, trigs and hams ready and get this grip panel stuff down to an art. All dealing with this corona farce at the same time. I would have to say its been a hell of a year man. Hahaha R

The trigger return spring and plunger is (not to step on any toes) a "neato" idea, but you can feel it. For my service, I remove that setup and install an "in the frame" direct trigger coil torsion spring mounted on the trigger screw (where it oughta be!!). That way it is protected from dirt and corrosion. It gives a most excellent trigger feel to boot!! The 3-screw examples I typically work on are Ruger Old Armys , both fixed sight (for CAS) and the normal adjustable sight versions.

Hey Mike. Your Not stepping on any toes man, Thats what this is all about and how we put man on the Moon. Better ideas create better funtionality. Thats the beauty of being in America and the wonderful capability of being able to exercise an opinion of your own based on whatever you dig man. The New model trigger return is ten steps forward in innovation and progress, No doubt about it. As you said, dirt infiltration, smooth movement and concealment. I just love the new and the old. And we all vary so much in what turns us on. That is the reason i am working 24-7 to bring both designs and a few more to the table for all of us. So much has been desired and i have never been able to take no for an answer when i know i can make it just the way we like. My first ruger was a birthday present in 1972. A mid frame old model. my second was a Super Blackie new model. I guess i am one of the guys who like an old model to be old school and vise versa for the new. But i am just one of a million of us single action nutz! But realistically the new way is superior. I just think the old plunger style is super nuclear old school cooool man. Hahaha. I have a Full Tilt Boogie 300 mile an hour in a thousand feet Nitro Funny car, But i love my 31 Model A with a small Block Chevy more just cuz of the cool factor being up around 9.9999979. Hahaha. I have spoken to Mr Clements many times about this very same thing. One of the triggers and hammers i just finished bugging out is a bisley for the old armys. New trigger return and old plunger style. Think its going to be cool. By the way i would love to see one of you spring setups. That sounds great! How could i improve a grip frame for use with it for you. Or is it not necessary? Always in for a better way Mike. R
