Just purchased my first 10mm. A five inch Ruger GP100 Lipsey's exclusive. Sighted it in at 22 yards yesterday (all the distance I could use at this range). Used Sellier & Belliot 180 JFN and they were accurate and pleasant to shoot.
Have dies and bullets left over from my 40 S&W days and never owned a 10 before. I have a MC 357 and it is my favorite 357 but I look forward to the learning curve with the 10. I love the balance on this gun and it has a decent action, bluing/blacking is better than pictured in the advertisements and the brass bead front sight locks up the package.
Any input from 10mm revolver fans would be much appreciated. I will take and post photos when i finish picking the raspberries this morning.
TIA
Zeke

Mine is deadly accurate. Highly recommend buying some TK Moon Clips to make it even better.
You can seat bullets out for very impressive performance.
Congratulations...

I had a David Clements converted GP-100 and a bunch of S&W 610s with 4, 5 and 6 inch barrels. They all shot exceptionally well with DoubleTap and Underwood 200 and 220gr WFN hard cast bullets

No ruger but have a610 smith AA9 powder with 165 Sierra`s dropped2 pigs last deer season. Put a red dot on it and enjoy the accuracy and power I'm using rimz moon clips yea they are plastic but work fine for bench use and hunting and are easy to load unload.

Groo here Tk has thick moon clips to shoot forty from the ruger... But for ten MM go to Ranch Products and buy them by the hundred. Ranch is also to have 1/3 moon [ 2 round] clips that work for CCW or pouches...

I don't have the Lipsey's Special,, but I do have the Ruger Match Champion in 10mm. I also have a S&W model 646 in .40 S&W. I have a lot of Ranch Products moons. Both guns use the Ranch moons easily. BUT,, the Ruger 10mm isn't 100% reliable using 40 S&W brass & Ranch moons. I get misfires due to soft strikes on the primers. The thicker moons would cure this,, as well as sticking with 10mm brass.
But accuracy & all else,,,, I enjoy my MC in 10mm quite well.

I have the T/C in 10 mm.
No surprise, because it is a T/C, it shoots tiny little groups. It can also make that steel sing with authority. 10mm and the 40S&W are interesting calibers in the middle of some great calibers. It's nice to have choices. Variety is the spice of life, except in women.
Prescut My wife tells me variety in women can get you killed, or maimed pretty good.

Thanks Prescut, After being a cop for thirty years I can affirm the wisdom of your wife's statement. Looking forward to just enjoying this 10 as a field gun. 40+ years at looking at handguns as a SD weapon, this exercise will be fun. Just 30 rounds through this Ruger five to get it in the black. Out of the box it was shooting high and right, at 22 yds then the next 25 all in 4" offhand all in the bottom half of the black B8. I do all my sighting in, offhand. I won't be shooting off a rest in the field. It's gonna be fun.
Lots of acquiring components and equipment, while fun, at the moment I'm thin on funds and I don't use credit.

In all candor, I had problems loading the 10mm. As I recall, I had problems getting a good crimp without swaging down the bullet too much. I guess that can happen on any caliber, but I kept getting surprised by the 10mm. I do recall getting a bulge from too much crimp; so my setup was changing constantly as I discovered new issues. It all came out good in the end. I think I was using RCBS dies, but I'll check on that and bullet size to chamber size. The 40S&W was for my Browning High Power. I shoot that about every 4 or 5 years; I'm a total revolver guy nowadays.
Let us know how yours goes.

I have a Blackhawk in 38-40/10mm, a S&W 610, a Gen 1 Glock 20 and a Gen 2 Glock 29 all in 10MM. They all shoot great (the 29 is a handfull though). Reloads on used brass are almost unlimited (@ mid range loadings), but you have to watchout for short brass after 3 to 4 reloads. Gets worse if you push the limits. Had good luck w/ Unique, 800, Accurate 5, 7, and 9 all depending on what you want the power level to be.
Still looking for a factory T/C 10" barrel. Thanks

I like the 10mm, But my point here is the 5" GP100, mine is SS, .357 and has the underlug, I picked it up just out of curiosity, at a local shop awhile back, and fell in love with the way it balanced. Boutit a half Hour latter, I swear with a 160 Grain MBC , It would do just about anything you might ask of as .357 mag. I 5" 10mm GP100 With long seated bullets, Would be excellent. It is a expensive conversion, but Gary reeder will make you a 5 shot GP100 in .41 Magnum ! With about 6 to 8 inch barrel, ! how cool would that be ?
