I picked up a convertible 22/22mag single six made around 1994 with a 4-5/8" barrel. Two of the chambers on my 22lr cylinder are very tight and I have to push the rounds in with my thumbnail and moderate pressure. I have used an oversized bore brush on a cordless drill to ensure there is no buildup.
Is this something the factory would warranty? Is there anything I can do to correct this? Maybe I should just buy an aftermarket 8 shot cylinder and forget about fixing it?

An aftermarket eight-shot cylinder would not be a drop in fit and you would have to change geometry for the hand which is now operating a six-shot cylinder to work on an eight shot cylinder which would have a different ratchet. It is not unusual for .22 rounds with their oversized wax bullets to be tight fitting. Have you tried more than one type of .22 ammunition? If several brands do the same thing and it bothers you you could have the cylinder polished out. You haven't mentioned anything about accuracy. I have one .22 which requires the cartridge to be pressed into each chamber. The upside is this fits the bullet to the chamber mouth and results in excellent accuracy.

Thanks John, I didn't even think to try some other brands. You are correct! Two other brands pushed in fine. I appreciate the help!

I have the same trouble with a Ruger Bisley 22. Some brands will shoot ok but all are tight in two of the cylinder holes. Some brands will not come out at all after you fire them. I have to remove the cylinder and drive them out.
