Think I'll pass, at that price. Well, at any price.

Looks like it has had the prescribed number of "break-in" rounds through it.

Never heard of this, so had to look it up. Read one review where they raved about the 1" @ 7yd accuracy? I know the 357 can be an excellent utility round, I'm not a fan personally, it's a choice I live with. However they went on discussing the "power" of it while shooting factory loads? It was only one example of several, didnt see anything sticking out that would persuade me to buy one, even new. Could have a custom built in any caliber for the money or buy 3-4 S&W and have action work done.
Am I missing something?

You could try putting a Colt barrel on it making the uber rare Korthon!

They are good looking and well built guns. Any discussion about Korth, Janz or even any of the high end 1911 or custom single actions always boils down to the Toyota vs Rolls Royce/Timex vs Rolex comparison. One side saying the workmanship, materials used and end result absolutely justify the expense. The other side saying the Ruger, Colt, Toyota and Timex serve the same role. That argument aside, it’s sad to see a fine piece of craftsmanship utterly destroyed through abuse like this.

No argument from me, people like what they like! I drive a Ram truck, I wear a Vostok and shoot practically nothing but Rugers, all three offer the durability for the money given. And yes a tragedy has befallen that revolver. With the bulged barrel I imagine careless hand loads at play, is the flame cutting due to wrong powder? Can a normal load do this over enough rounds & time?

Can a normal load do this over enough rounds & time? No normal load would do this. My guess would be numerous grossly over pressure hand loads. The .357 has a history of flame cutting with light for caliber bullets with max powder charges. But even that took at least hundreds and often thousands of rounds to amount to anything. I suspect the owner of this gun lacks the ability to measure the cylinder chambers. I’d be very surprised if the chambers weren’t bulged too. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the frame was stretched a bit. About the only thing not damaged is probably the grip frame.
