I was reading About the .50 special in Bowen’s book The Custom Revolver. He notes that they used a NEI mold that throws a 350gr .511 round nose. I got to looking last night and can’t seem to find one of those molds anywhere or anyone that reproduces anything similar. Does anybody have any ideas where I could get one of those molds or something similar. Or for that matter even a few of the bullets. Here is a picture of the bullet I am referring to loaded in a case. Flanked by .38 Special and .44 Special Thanks, Jonathan

LBT or Mountain Molds will make you a mold to your specs...
We had Veral cut a similar mold with a flat nose in case we wanted to shoot something with flesh on it, that big round nose isnt the best bullet design for killing...

Haven't been able to find that exact one but, there are several for the 56-50 and 50 cal BP rifles. I did some light checking when thinking about a 50 special Vaquero, it's down the list so havent dug deeply.

I bet the 350gr. that Montana Bullet works makes would be great, they make a WFN and an LFN. The WFN weighs out at 355gr. and spanks stuff with authority from my 500L.
