I left before daylight yesterday and got back a little after 5:00 PM. I just drove down to look at my new .41spl NF and to pay for it. I had a nice visit with Alan and we discussed SAAs. I stayed about an hour and a half and got out of there so he could get back to work. I'm sure that all who have met him are as glad as I. I took a coupla cell phone pics but don't know how to post them. If someone who could would PM me their Phone # I would forward them my pics to share here. It is a pretty plain 4 3/4" with a 2 Dogs FS, black powder bevel, one piece walnut stocks and a bisley spur on the hammer. Other than that it looks like a stock NF except for the caliber and makers marking on the barrel..........

What a coincidence ! I just picked up three revolvers from Alan this morning. I usually take them to him and let him ship them back, but this time a friend was trying to get a smoker from Houston to his home so I pulled my trailer down and knocked over two birds with one rock. He’s a great guy and Texas is fortunate to have him ! He just did action jobs for me other than installing a SBH hammer on my .41 mag Blackhawk.
Yours looks great and I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with it.

I have had the privilege of spending many an hour in Alan's shop on several trips I took to Texas. He extends the finest Texas hospitality and is a true gentleman.

I could have gladly stayed all day. We seemed to have plenty to talk about but I really felt as though I was keeping him from his work. After all he does do this for a living.............

I drove from New Orleans when I was there for a conference to Houston to meet Mr. Harton. It was well worth the trip. He is a true gentleman. Now that my daughter is living in the suburbs of Houston, I hope to visit with him as soon as I get a chance to fly to Houston to see my daughter.

This sure looks nice and the more I read about the .41 spc and think about it’s usefulness the more I want one.

I talked with Alan on the phone today. I had called and left a message that I had purchased the .32wcf off Morphy auctions and wanted to pick his brain about it. It is quite unique as it is a mid frame OM Ruger and the extra cylinder is in .32 S&W Long. We had a nice visit and I took my leave at a decent interval as he is in business to make a living. The .32 S&W is really cool out of an OM mid frame...........
