Got another beauty from master knife builder & good friend Kim Ralston last week. He really did an outstanding job as usual but this one is a little special in that he inlaid a 44 magnum case head on one side of the black micarta & a 41 magnum case head on the other side. Then he made the liners out of Air Force blue knowing that I served in the military, nice touch Kim! The sheath is by good buddy Doc Barranti and is his usual top quality as well. I couldn't be happier & hope to be skinning critters in a few months, thanks Kim! Dick

Not sure what steel Kim uses, every knife maker has his own steel & heat treating process. I know this baby is sharp enough to shave the hair off of a turtle.

D2 is some good steel, but can have an attitude at times, lol

Best to give Kim a call, he makes a lot of different blade styles & a whole lot of handle options from ivory, horn, lots of different woods, etc. Great guy to deal with & he can cover all your questions & show you lots of great photo's. Having more than one is an option too!
