The one I had was super accurate. My dad fell in love with it so I gave it to him. When he died my brother took it. His son now owns it.

I started my handgun love with that exact gun & barrel length. I bought mine new in 1961 or early 1962. I shot it more than my many revolvers since. I did a lot of aerial shooting. I got to where I could throw a bottle in the air, draw and shoot it more often than not. (at village dumps). The gun was stolen out of my house years later. I replaced it with about a 1958 model 5 1/2" I found unfired about in the 1990`s. Here is a picture of it. It did spoil me from the standpoint of almost always shooting my DA revolvers SA. A no no as I had to qualify every year for 35 years on my guard job. Old habits are hard to break. i.postimg.cc/jjKz96vK/Ruger-Single-Six-146761.jpg

Bamagreg, nice find. I picked up the exact same revolver a few years back but in .22 Mag. The price was too good to pass up. A buddy just happened to have a Single Six CO Centennial 22 LR cylinder he gave me. I fitted the cylinder and that little revolver is a tack driver.

When you consider Peacemaker Colts and USFA's target models don't have "adjustable" sights we have rely on ourselves to make the gun shoot right.
