I have a blue steel .45, And man does it shoot ! I had 3 guns with me, 2 single action revolvers and this colt. I am not terribly good with the revolvers, ( getting better though) And i had mixed results with my Ruger,s . I decided to finish with my Colt. Started on paper, the target had a red bull about an inch in diameter. at about 45 or 50 ft.So using the red fiber optic front sight , i would get six o'clock hold with a perfect figure 8. I dumped 25 rounds of hard ball into that target rather quickly and the majority were well placed. I grabbed an Mty can out of my jeep tossed it away and the 1st shot knocked a long way away, 2nd missed close and 3rd sent flying down over the edge in to the tangled mess of the recent clear cut, so far i broke my rule about never leaving anything behind. It was great fun, and without a doubt, when i can ware a coat that's the gun i will carry. I put a magazine full of Remington Hollow points through her too, And they shot very well. So why do you suppose i shoot it so much Better than my Ruger,s. ? Other than a great set of stag grips from David Alsup it is bone stock, and i see no reason to change it. My guess is the Fiber optic sight. When i get my Custom .454 from Gary Reeder, it will have a gold bead. That should tell me something , if i can use that sight real well it will be time start putting beads on my single actions. That round ball is more of a benefit than the glow from the fiber i think...tj

That is some shooting John. I could do that at ten feet. Mine shoots better than i can shoot it. But i tell you what with that gun in my hand i could poke holes in something with fair consistency. I don't often take it to my mountain, cause i end up leaving brass around. I don't mind leaving rim fire brass on the ground but .45 auto sticks out. I just remembered i have a 9mm 1911, a RIA, and it has a fiber optic front sight too, Need to give it a whirl...tj
