Took my 5 inch GP100 up to the mountain this morning. I had 100 rounds, 50 each with a medium charge of AA#9 , Just to try out the powder , and 50 of with 15.5 grs of H-110. Not quite MAX i think half a grain under, The bullet is montana bullet works, 160 grain FN GK. CCI magnum primers. broke out the Chrony and got an average of 1297,for 5 shots, with the H-110 And the accuracy was out standing. The #9 was 1110 , and shot pretty well too. I might bump it up and try again, but the H-110 was great, don,t think there is much chance of the #9 doing any better.. I finally killed a target i been blasting away at for a while now, thick tree limb sticking out of a brush pile, about 8 thick and not at all rotted. I was standing About 35 yards away, and i had chips flying all morning, i finally cut it in two , and started on the next cut.
Not sure you could ask much more from the gun or cartridge, Damn it is fun too ! I would like to see a hunter model GP100 , with a 7 .5 inch barrel, It could have the Ruger scope mounts too, And perfection would be a 5 shot 41 mag ! But .357 is just fine, . I am going to see what GT has that's close to this bullet. Beacuse the MBWs are not cheap, but they are excellent, so if i have to bite the bullet to get the bullets , i will, How much better on game do you think a 180 grain might be ? thanks...tj

Very nice. I've got a bunch of 173gr LSWC & 180gr WFN I want to try with some 2400 in my 6.5" Blackhawk. Got some Rem 180gr SJHP as well, but gonna reserve those for my Max.
A 7.5" 8 shot Hunter model "Super GP-100" or Redhawk would be fun.

A Redhawk to me is just to much gun. The only one I ever had was a 7 5 in. If the right deal came along I would jump at 4.6 inch 44 or 45. But to much gun for the. .357. But on a GP 100 it would be great. I just love mine. The 5 inch Barrel makes getting a 6 inch pointless. But a 6 inch in 10mm might be a can worms worth opening. ! ...
