It just arrived. I don’t think I have ever been giddy before but I think I know what it feels like now. Thanks, Jonathan PS. The fit is amazing, bolted it to the gun as a test fit and it is tight can’t wait to get working on it and flush it down. I completely understand the No.5 grip frame now. It feels great in the hand Even with the semi fitted grips. And the grips fit the frame super tight.

I know how excited Bagby feels. My XR3-RED Old model came in yesterdays mail. Screw holes perfect, a tad tight on frame boss, corrected with 3 strokes of the file. Fits great. Hope I can fit and finish it in a manner worthy of Ronnie's efforts. This will not be the last, RGF

Well after playing with it for a bit, it seems the commander hammer is a no go. The ring portion of the hammer comes low enough to hit the grip frame before it reaches full cock. So Bisley hammer it is. I think the Bisley will be more appropriate anyway.
Thanks, Jonathan

Saweeettt! Clements hammer? Old model meets new age! Yes Clements commander hammer. Such a nice piece I have to get another old model to use it in since it doesn’t seem to get along with the No.5 grip frame. Thanks, Jonathan.

Fantastic fellas! Give me a Hollar if i can give any fitment recommendations. The frame boss is one of the areas that i spent so much time measuring and comparing with multiple gun frames. They, like the frames are never the same. If that boss is snug in the frame groove it will not move around. I put it on a size that should not require much but a tickle with a file to get just right if any. Most generally those who ask if there are any tricks, i tell them to take a black magic marker or a sharpie and completely cover the two mating surfaces of the grip frame. Bolt it on once the groove boss is tickled, with all five screws. That way it is on down tight the way it will ride on the frame from here out. Then take a very sharp , very pointed razor blade or X acto knife and scribe a line on the excess surfaces hanging over on the grip frame. Once the two lower side surfaces are marked, mark the upper surfaces, then right behind the hammer at the top. when that is done, you have a great starting point to cut to. Most of this is finesse fellas. even if you cut a brass to far, once you polish it, it still looks great. You will be surprised. Polished Brass feels very good to the human hand, very natural. I have also noticed that screws don't loosen up on brass and aluminum frames as much as they do on steel after a lot of firing. Myself and several men like Bradshaw have come to the conclusion that the screw does not give as much as the softer materials like Brass and aluminum. Therefore turning the softer and more springy material in to a type of lock washer. it is continually holding tension on the screw. Each time you fire there is a sharp harmonic sent through the entire gun. A type of shockwave. Steel grip frames do not give any at all. neither do the screws. it just goes down as tight as its going to get until you surpass the tensil strength of the screw. However each shockwave tends to rattle the tension of the threads. eventually allowing them to back out. As we have noticed, it is a lot less with B&A! Here is a pic of what i was talking about. We have been Very Busy with Mr Clements Ideas and generosity here at RWGF. Along with a Few of our own. Now Remember the top of that Backstrap is going to come down a little bit once you have it fit. I leave them proud there so you can make it your own. By the way did you notice the BAGBY?

This is a vision of Clements. I love it. But a version of what you have Jonathon that is 6 degrees higher is in the works along with one that has a fat back on it like the Ruger Bisley hammer to fill in the frame slot in the rear.
