That is the first one that I have seen. It would be interesting to see one next to the bisley.

Curious if the latch works easy, without tools. What if you want to remove the cylinder at a range?

This is the first one and it went to Jack Huntington: He took it to South Africa when we went in 2018...

Thanks for posting, Max. Figured you might have a BFR No. 5 pic. It's a beauty, and Jack's buffalo is quite a beast...WOW!

Does the Bisley grip size remain the same with or without the #5 option?

So the same bisley grip frame is used for the #5? Only the grips are different? I don’t see any mention of the #5 on their custom site.

It's there, wheelguns. Click on "Frame" and the last little button is "Short Cylinder #5." ($625) The picture changes to show it.

According to what they told me the only difference is that part of the frame where the "#5 lever" is machined. The Bisley grip is the same. No doubt its a nice feature and requires a lot of precise machining. However the cost for that convenience is pretty high at $625.

I ordered a #5. According to the custom shop manager I spoke to the grip frame is a copy of the original grip angles as designed by Mr. Keith, but lengthened behind the trigger guard for knuckle clearance and is slightly longer to better handle big recoil. You can see it in the photo on their site. When mine arrives I'll post pictures. I've shot versions of the #5 before and hope this one is as good. It's a $2700 gamble, but I had to have it in 475L. I believe even Elmer would have given up on the 44 for the 475.

Every single No. 5 BFR I've seen pictures of to date has had either the Bisley (banana Bisley) or standard plowhandle grip frame (with plowehandles being in the minority by far). The only No. 5 part has been the lock mechanism on all that I've seen, so it would be cool to see one with a No. 5 grip frame as well.

Does that mean the number 5 latch can be had with the bisley or the plow handle grip also? I only saw the option of the latch with the number five frame. If so, how does one go about making that happen?
