Well, I am finally replacing my .500 jrh BFR that I sold several years back to a forum member. Ordered a 7.5" BFR in .454. can't wait! I'm thinking of running mostly cast HP from GT bullets as well as 405 grain Beartooth Bullets and an occasional 300 grain Speer deep curl. Mostly will be heavy .45 Colt loads. Just found out that RDW is going to be making true bisley kits for the BFR too! Now, to scope it or not?

My first BFR was a 454. I ran a 335gr hcgc at 1700fps and it was absolute death on anything I pointed it at! It would hold 6" groups at 100yds with the factory open sights...

Congrats! Let us know how it shoots. I’ve been thinking that gun might be my next one too 🤔.

You’ll never bang your knuckles up. Or did you order it with the plow handle?

Ordered it with the plow handle. I do prefer bisley, but I don't like the look of the MRI bisley.

I love this bullet. Use these in my BFR 45-70 and they work great.

Whit, I'm going to wait to see how the RDW bisley kits look first. Of course I will shoot it before anything. I may keep it how it is, who knows

What I am really wanting though, especially when the RDW one comes out, is the Bisley hammer also. Although the MRI Bisley grip doesn’t look too bad, that hammer is horrible looking

Thanks, but not overly fond of that style hammer. Maybe I'm being to picky

I called the MRI custom shop last week and they do not offer a Bisley hammer for the BFR, but they do still offer a wide spur hammer. My revolver is there having one installed now.
